Llandovery Market is fast becoming a sale ‘hot-spot'
for Welsh Black Cattle with entries up 50% on last year's store
cattle sale.
Some 142 Welsh Black store cattle, including 15 heifers, were sold
at Llandovery on October 15, sponsored by Tithebarn.
“The prices were comparative to the 2003 sale but there was
a 50% increase in the number of cattle forwarded for the 2004 sale,”
said a delighted Welsh Black Cattle Society Chief Executive, Andrew
James.
“Llandovery market has established itself as a recognised
sale for Welsh Black Cattle attracting many buyers.
“In fact, we will be back there on Thursday (Oct 21) for
13 th Annual Llandovery Pedigree Show and Sale which promises to
be the largest of its kind for 30 years, and which forms part of
the Society's special centenary year sale season.”
